The Piano Express is a nationally-recognized program for kids, teens and adults. Our studio combines traditional teaching with innovative technology to provide students with a one-of-a-kind experience.
Are you ready for the Piano Express Challenge?
At Dayton Piano School, students learn by doing. Each weekly lesson is 55 minutes long and students are expected to be working at the piano the whole time. The process of learning with Piano Express is like language acquisition. The student experiences the music by sight, by touch, and by sound.
The Piano Express curriculum is more challenging and requires a higher standard of playing than other methods because it requires students to play the correct notes in perfect tempo. A high level of achievement is required for each song in the book before moving on to the next one. This ensures that each student develops the skills needed to master the challenges that follow in the more advanced levels.
The Piano Express includes interactive software for lessons and for practice at home. This tool lets students “take the teacher home”. The software gives instant feedback, helping students to identify and correct mistakes right away.
Each student has their own online personal profile that tracks their progress and provides motivation to “up their score” as they advance. With the Piano Express, we gamify the learning process so that the student will work hard to “win” at piano. Meanwhile, they will be learning serious keyboard skills!
